Each practice will include a short sequence of asanas\, (physical poses and exercises)\, breath-work\, and meditation designed to support older students in building and maintaining muscle and bone strength; increasing flexibility; improving balance and agility; cultivating mental focus; and supporting peace of heart and mind. DESCRIPTION:Alphabet Soup is an open meeting of Narcotics Anonymous which specifically welcomes members of the LGBTQIA community in an effort to offer recovery resources to people struggling with substance use. The NA program uses  the 12-Step modality\, and has been a proven and effective resource for people struggling with active addiction\, and offers risk mitigation by building protective factors within Our Center’s community programming.

SUMMARY:Gentle Yoga for LGBTQIA+ Seniors and Allies
DESCRIPTION:Bring a blanket or a towel.  Mats\, straps and blocks provided.  Katie Louvat teaches a gentle yoga session! \nA free gentle yoga class designed for older adults. Each practice will include a short sequence of asanas\, (physical poses and exercises)\, breath-work\, and meditation designed to support older students in building and maintaining muscle and bone strength; increasing flexibility; improving balance and agility; cultivating mental focus; and supporting peace of heart and mind. These classes reflect the instructor’s fascination with anatomy and bio-mechanics and her commitment to teaching movement that is accessible\, functional\, compassionate\, and sustainable. \nPlease Bring: a blanket or a thick towel. We have Yoga Mats\, Blocks\, and Straps but you may bring your own if you would like.

DESCRIPTION:Care Beyond Boundaries is a community initiative that assembles Compassion Kits filled with essential items for LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to have volunteers create packs that include items like toothbrushes\, deodorant\, hand sanitizer\, menstrual products\, and snacks into kits that provide immediate relief. Join us in making a difference in the lives of vulnerable community members by donating supplies or volunteering your time.
