Our Center – Our long term vision is to build a thriving, community-based organization to support the LGBTQA community in Northern Nevada. We have created a safe and supportive space and environment where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together under one roof for cultural, educational, health, social, and wellness programs.

Queer Bake – Monthly bake sales for the good of the community.
Tahoe Pride – Tahoe Pride is a place to build a strong community while forming lasting friendships in the Tahoe area.
Our Center – HOMIEs (Hands on Movement Including Everyone) – We provide a safe space for LGBTQ youth and their friends. We encourage participation by focusing on different aspects of community outreach. We actively assist youth in determining short term and long term goals while promoting unity within our community.
Middle and High Schools GSAs (Gay Straight Alliances) – We can find one near-by or help you start one!
QSU (Queer Student Union)
QSU is one of the largest and the longest standing active LGBTQIA organization in Northern Nevada. Our organization is composed of students and non-student youth, both gay and straight, from across the Northern Nevada Community.
UNR Center for Cultural Diversity
The Center provides a multitude of opportunities for student involvement, support, networking and social interaction. Open door policy- stop by to say “hi” on the third floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union.
Spectrum TMCC the student LGBTQA group at Truckee Meadows Community College
Our mission is to create safe place for GLBTQ students and their straight supporters to meet, to educate students and faculty, and to increase awareness and acceptance of all forms of diversity, but especially GLBTQ students.
TAG – Transgender Allies Group
TAG is a network of allies providing education, resources, counseling, advocacy and support of transgender individuals and families in order to ensure equality, integration, and an exceptional quality of life for all transgender people in Northern Nevada.
TRANS in Northern Nevada
This group is for Transgender people in Northern Nevada as well as their friends, family, ans supporters. Through here we can all stay connected and up to date on upcoming events, meetings, medical information, and anything else that may pertain to the Trans community.
Northern Nevada Pride Festival & CommUNITY Parade – (Last weekend of July)
Northern Nevada Pride hosts an annual event that showcases the art, creativity, and diversity of our unique city and region. The proceeds from the event will go directly to the programs and nonprofit purposes of Build Our Center.

A collaborative of 15 various local agencies to provide community outreach about HIV/AIDS and STD’s .
A HIV/AIDS counseling program for members of the African American community who have been infected by the HIV virus.
