Jeromy Manke
Board President
Jeromy Manke is the President of Build Our Center, Inc., a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, which operates Northern Nevada’s only LGBT community center after raising substantial funds to support its mission.
He has served as Chair of Northern Nevada Pride since it’s launch in 2014, during which time it has tripled attendance to over 7,000 attendees.
He serves as the Diversity and Inclusion Chair and a member of the Young Professionals Committee for the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association (NNHRA), in addition to working with Reno-Tahoe’s Professional Development Committee. Jeromy and his husband, Brian Jensen, opened Jensen & Co. Salon, which houses over thirty salon professionals and recently won Best Salon in Reno for 2016 from the Reno News & Review.
Professionally, Jeromy works as the Human Resources Business Partner for Reliable Management Solutions, a third-party logistics company headquartered in Reno. He helps to influence policy, troubleshoot challenges, and oversee human resource functions for over 500 employees nationwide. Jeromy graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, College of Business, in 2012.
Zeina Barkawi
Vice President
Zeina is the Senior Vice President and Talent Acquisition Manager at Bank of America.
Zeina has also served on the Big Brother, Big Sisters Board and on the board of Northern Nevada Hopes. Zeina was a producer on Matt Shepherd was a Friend of Mine.
Todd Eikelberger
Treasurer
Todd was born and raised in Reno and is a third generation Nevadan. He went to undergraduate school at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and then law school in Los Angeles at Loyola Law School.
Following Law School, he worked in the entertainment industry for 7 years. During his time in law school he became involved with the Alliance for Children’s Rights which was an organization that fought to make sure that children who were “in the system” in Los Angeles County had a voice in what they were going through and were able to have adequate legal representation to make sure their rights were looked after.
He also became involved with the Human Rights Campaign, Lawyers for Human Rights and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. Because of his involvement in these various organizations he became very passionate about making sure that people’s basic rights were protected, no matter their race, age, sex, sexual orientation or religion.
Angeline Peterson
Secretary
Angeline is the Operations Executive Administrator at StemExpress, a leading biospecimen supplier of human cells used in academic, pharmaceutical, and biotechnical research.
She is current Secretary for Our Center, Northern Nevada's only LGBTQ community center; the Education Advisor for the Beta Mu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Nevada; and co-founder of Our Little Feminist Book Club, currently in its 7th year. Angeline has completed multiple Safe Zone trainings, attended CenterLink in person and virtually, and recently attended Creating Change 2023.

Torri Shack
Board Member
Torri is the CEO/Founder of Tangible Movement a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, which aims to bring awareness to the public about mental health conditions, addiction, suicide, and sexual/gender identity issues.
Torri Is transgender and uses the pronouns they/he. They are a National Speaker & currently travel all over the United States giving talks/presentations and leading workshops. The topics covered include mental health awareness, gender and sexual identity issues, suicide prevention, and addiction. Torri gives these talks/ presentations to colleges, high schools, middle schools, conferences, and corporations from their own lived experience on behalf of Tangible Movement.
Torri is also a certified mental health educator and presenter for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). They speak and lead seminars for their ETS, IOOV, CIT, and Peer to Peer programs and workshops. Torri graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara at the top of their class with a major in History and a minor in International Relations, Magna Cum Laude.
Christal Padilla de Luna
Board Member
Christal Padilla de Luna is a Strategic Campaigner and Facilitator with over 20 years of experience working with community, labor, business, and government organizations.
She specializes in facilitating interdisciplinary multisector collaborations to root and grow meaningful, equitable, and innovative strategies for change. In addition to her primary job functions as a professional Campaign Director with the Service Employees International Union she has built and facilitated broad-based coalitions in 23 cites, across 10 states, with over 1000 organizations.
Direct change making experience is professional and personal for her as the mom of two kids who are growing up in Reno. She knows firsthand that it takes years for real change to take root, and therefore working on and supporting local collaborative initiatives to implement inclusive and equitable programs, policies, and systemic change now is a priority for her and her family.
She says, “there is a future that my kids can imagine and they deserve to be supported in creating it.”
